SCEDA’s central focus is furthering our members’ professional development and advocating economic development to benefit South Carolinians. We educate our members so that they can do their jobs effectively; promote relationships among economic developers, government and community leaders, and other stakeholders; and raise overall awareness of the importance of economic development–related issues.
Our outstanding professional development programs include the South Carolina Economic Development Institute (formerly known as SCEDS) and the Advanced Symposium program. SCEDA’s annual and mid-year conferences offer ample membership networking opportunities along with educational forums, professional development sessions, legislative updates, and economic forecasts.
SCEDA also supports policies that promote business and job growth in South Carolina and that will lead to sustainable statewide prosperity. Please visit our Public Policy section to learn more.
