South Carolina Economic Developers' Advanced Symposium/SC Certified Economic Developer


This week long course is available for professional economic development practitioners. It is intense, but will provide you with new and improved tools in your professional bag of tricks.

Specific requirements include:

  • Economic Development Practitioner
  • Must be a SCEDA Member
  • Five (5) years of experience in Economic Development, or
  • Three (3) years of experience in Economic Development with EDI or a university degree in economic development

Graduates of the program earn the "SC Certified Economic Developer" certification.  After initial certification, members must recertify every two years in order to maintain their status.  .
