Published annually, the SCEDA desk top membership directory and abbreviated pocket size companion provide access to economic development professionals across S.C. An alphabetical, county and categorical membership listing provide members with numerous communication resources.
Networking Events
Annual, mid-year, membership meetings, and network only events provide members with at least six opportunities to discuss business while participating in educational activities.
Advocacy
SCEDA has contracted with MG&C Consulting to provide lobbying services for the Association. As a member, your participation on the grassroots level is very important in making SCEDA SC's Voice for Economic Development!

The SCEDA web site at www.SCEDA.org provides an opportunity for your company homepage to link to SCEDA. The web site provides a useful tool for direct access to member businesses or development organizations.
Prospects Newsletter
SCEDA’s quarterly newsletter provides information on the association’s activities and what is new and interesting in economic development.
South Carolina Economic Developers’ School
As a primary sponsor of the SCEDS program, SCEDA members are encouraged to attend this basic introduction into economic development. Curriculum during the four session program focuses on community development, financing economic development, and business recruitment, retention, and expansion.
South Carolina Advanced Economic Developers’ Symposium
Designed as a South Carolina specific week long course, this SCEDA sponsored school issues are pertinent to South Carolina’s development efforts. Topic emphasis includes: regulatory issues, infrastructure development, marketing, in addition to site and building development.
Scholarships
SCEDA offers scholarships to the Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC), the Economic Development Institute (EDI) at the University of Oklahoma and the South Carolina Economic Developers’ School (SCEDS) at the College of Charleston. Scholarships help off set registration, transportation, lodging, and associated costs. The deadline for applications is March 28, 2008. Please click on the links to access the form.
