SCEDA is partnering with the Municipal Association of South Carolina to present a half-day educational session on GASB 77.  This is a must-attend session for anyone wanting to learn more about the new GASB 77 Rule on Tax Abatements.

Local and state governments for the first time will be required to disclose tax abatement agreements in their financial statements from tax breaks for economic development projects, according to a new Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) rule.

This half-day session will provide information about GASB 77 from the legal, accounting, and public and private sector economic development perspectives. This new rule goes into effect for reporting periods after December 15, 2015.
